Receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aids body sits behind the ear and delivers sound directly into the ear drum through a receiver placed inside ear canal. This allows the battery and bulk of the electronics to be located outside the ear.The hearing aid and receiver are connected by a discreet ‘receiver wire’ which houses an electrical cable.
